CNET Names Pillar Axiom Enterprise Hardware Product of the Year
LONDON, UK - September 29, 2006 - The Pillar Axiom™ storage system has been named enterprise hardware product of the year, at the 2006 CNET Networks UK Technology Awards. Pillar Data Systems was shortlisted against Google and Brocade and came out on top as a result of strong customer support from companies such as Alea, Plaxo, and Attenda.
The Pillar Axiom enables businesses to consolidate their storage on a single, easy to manage and highly scalable platform. This reduces the cost and complexity of managing storage, and delivers a single point of control across multiple applications and storage environments.
The CNET awards are held every year and recognise excellence in the Technology sector. The CNET judges commented; “Pillar Data Systems’ customers are vocal in their support, and show that this company has the right ideas about simplifying complex tasks, bringing them all together in one place.”
“This award is further recognition of Pillar’s position as a major player in the storage industry,” said Chris Jones, head of EMEA sales at Pillar Data Systems. “Having only been operating in Europe for 12 months, we were delighted to be nominated, but to win is something special. This award is the perfect acknowledgement of a successful first year as we look to expand our market presence and continue our unprecedented market acceptance. With many customers returning for upgrades or new systems we look forward to an equally strong year in Europe next year.”
The Pillar Axiom storage system offers a single consolidated platform for both SAN and NAS storage and offers companies a simple, scalable solution that significantly reduces costs over the lifetime of the system.
